The song "I will sing unto the Lord" is from the 1800's and based on the song of Moses and Miriam in Exodus 15:1 and 15:21. The context is that of after the crossing of the Red Sea by the Israelites and the Egyptian army being destroyed. The melody is from an Israeli folk song.
There are many modern renditions of these lyrics using various melodies and harmonies.
