1. Some shallow and yet deep ideas about organizational structure
Org chart 0An organizational structure is the arrangement of command and control within an organization.
Information sign More: Exodus 18: Hierarchy as a man-made tree structure

2. Comparison: Jesus
Shallow 0
Here is a depiction of the flat organizational structure of Jesus.

3. Comparison: church
Org tree2
Here is a depiction of the deep organizational structure of human systems - the church, government, and the world in general.

4. Structure comparison
Jesus shallow structure - rock Human deep structure - sand
Shallow 0 Org tree2
Vine 0 Tree with twigs - no fruit
The deep tree structure of the Temple started with Moses on the advice of Jethro. By the time of Jesus it was a huge tree of compulsive rules and regulations.

5. Equality
Both orgs 0Declaration of Independence: "All men are created equal". This is from Galatians (and other places) but always refers to "equal before God" and not "equal before humans". This distinction is often blurred by those wishing to promote worldly social change rather than or in addition to the change to which Jesus refers.

Sometimes this social change goes against rules establish by God. This almost requires that the distinction be blurred.

6. Worldly equality
Both orgs 1The world will create human hierarchical structures of power, etc.

7. Equality before God
Both orgs 2All those in the human hierarchy are not equal in the world but are still "equal before God".

8. Rock and sand
Rock and sandThe "human hierarchy" is a deep worldly house built on or of "sand".

The "Jesus hierarchy" is a shallow house built on or of "rock"

Consider the parable of the sheep and the goats. Who is represented by the "least of these"?

9. What is omitted may be important
How many chapters in the Old Testament? 929

How many chapters in the Old Testament Apocrypha? 183 (Most of them in the "Silent Years")

This comes to 1112 chapters. How many were written by non-Jews?

Is social change advocated by the GNT (Greek New Testament)? By Jesus? By others?
