The first chapter of the book of Proverbs has some interesting verses in the idea of "knowledge", "wisdom", etc.
2. Solomon
Proverbs 1:1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel; [kjv]
The proverbs are attributed to King Solomon.
As in many times through history, Solomon may be the one who know of, approved, etc., these proverbs.
This does not mean that, in the modern sense, he created each proverb as an original thought.

eye" or "
cut off" that "
hand".

Epistle of Barnabas interprets birds and nets from Proverbs 1:17 in the
LXX (Septuagint).
A bird net works much better if there is some food on which the birds desire to eat. It might be "
deceptive" food.
English: Now the scripture says: "Not unjustly are nets spread out for the birds". This means that people deserve to perish if, having knowledge of the way of righteousness, they ensnare themselves in the way of darkness. (1.4, Holmes, p. 393)
