The Hebrew word "הרי" (ha-re) ≈ "mountains". The battle of "Armageddon" is from the Hebrew for "Har Megiddon", the "Mountain of Megiddo".

The mound (or city) of Megiddo is, in Hebrew, "
Tel Megiddo". The
"mountain" is actually a "
mound" of a "
city" that has built up, layer by layer, such that it is referred to as a
"mountain". Megiddo is found twelve times in the
OT (Old Testament) and once in Revelation.
