Abraham lived until the age of 175.

Genesis 23:1 And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah. [kjv]

*H8283 שָׂרָה (saw-raw') : the same as H8282; Sarah, Abraham's wife:--Sarah.

Sarah lived until the age of 127. It is not clear if Abraham lived longer than usual or Sarah died sooner than usual.

The average age of Abraham and Sarah is thus (175+127)/2 =151.

Genesis 23:1

KJV: And Sarah was an hundred and seven and twenty years old: these were the years of the life of Sarah.

Hebrew: ויהיו חיי שרה מאה שנה ועשרים שנה ושבע שנים שני חיי שרה׃

Greek: εγενετο δε η ζωη σαρρας ετη εκατον εικοσι επτα

Abraham lived to the age of 175 years. Sarah was 99 when she gave birth. How old is that in terms of today?

Pastors who do not account for that difference may be providing listeners an incorrect perception of what happened.

By (linear proportional) analogy: 175 years is to 70 years as 99 years is to 40 years. That is (99/175)*70 = 39.9 years.

Using 151 years, one gets (99/151)*70 = 46.2 years.

This is old to give birth but not like a woman 99 years old today.
