Going out of existence of corruption and decay

Today, the English word "corruption" has narrowed to people accepting bribes or otherwise cheating the system.
In computer systems, a "corrupted" file is one whose contents have been changed. In thermodynamic terms, an increase of disorder or entropy over time is associated with corruption.

The original meaning in Greek is that of passing out of existence. Let us look at verses in the LXX (Septuagint) and GNT (Greek New Testament) with this meaning in mind. The Latin word "corruptio" ≈ "corruption, bribery" and has influenced the KJV (King James Version) and other translations.

The idea of "existence" requires the idea of "information" or a "knowledge" that something "exists" and then does "not exist".

A mathematical function that shows exponential decay eventually goes to zero (or a minimum point) that can be compared with going "out of existence".

The modern Greek word "φθοράς" (ftho-RAS) ≈ "wear" as in wear and tear over time.

Exodus 18:17 And Moses' father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good. [kjv]

The Greek for "good" is that of doing it "rightly". That is the human opinion of Jethro, the father-in-law of Moses. Jethro then convinces Moses to, instead of using the flat hierarchy of Jesus, to use the nested hierarchy of man - a human sand infrastructure.

The deep tree structure of the Temple started with Moses on the advice of Jethro. By the time of Jesus it was a huge tree of compulsive rules and regulations.

God "created" by the "word" of his "mount". God can "destroy" or have "pass out of existence" by the "word" of his "mouth".

The ancient Greek word "στόμα" ≈ "mouth" and could mean the "face", source of a body of water, opening in the earth, the front opening of something, etc. An interesting idiom in the Greek is that of letting the "mouth of the sword" do the talking. This might be similar to saying "let my sword do the talking".

The LXX has Micah using the word for "passing out of existence" twice.

This is part of Romans 8 that is "before" the battle cry verse of "If God is for us, who can be against us!" where the words for "for" and "against" come through the Latin.

The English word "partakers" from the modern Greek word "κοινωνοί" (kee-no-NEE) ≈ "social" as in societal fellowship or community.

The term "Koine" Greek means the common or social Greek language. In the same manner "Vulgar" Latin is the common or social Latin language. And, in the same manner, in the time of Jesus, "Aramaic" was the common or social Hebrew language.

The "divine nature" is the "divine reality".

The Greek term for "nature" is the modern Greek word "φύσεως" (FEE-seh-os) ≈ "physics" and is the source of the English word "physics" - the reality of the world around us - science.

The KJV translates as "brute beast" a Greek word that as a military term meant a "magnificent war horse".

A good analogy for "corruption" is that of the wear and tear of a garment over time.

Isaiah 51:6

Thermodynamics is the study of heat as "thermo" and movement as "dynamic". For the law of increasing order think of shuffling a deck of 52 cards. What is the probability that a shuffle will result in the deck being put back into order (e.g., in order, the sets hearts, spades, diamonds, and clubs, each from Ace to King )?

The English word "lust" today has narrowed from the original meaning in Old English and in Greek as «επιθυμια» which means desire. Any narrowing, such as physical desires or sexual desires, must be inferred from context or from specifically stated adjectives.

The "lust" or "desire" here appears to be the "desire" of Adam and Eve to eat of the tree of knowledge of good and evil though which the world is cursed with corruption - growing old and dying.
