Song: When we all get to heaven
1. Verse 0
Sing the wondrous love of Jesus,
sing his mercy and his grace;
in the mansions bright and blessed
he'll prepare for us a place.
When we all get to heaven,
what a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus
we'll sing and shout the victory.
2. Song: When we all get to heaven
One should not say "That person went to heaven" or "That person is going to hell".
Rather, one should say "My hope is heaven" where the Greek hope means a high expectation or "When I get to heaven, I expect to see that person there.".
3. Saying when does not mean completion
In computational program correctness theory, "
when" does not imply that one will actually get there. That is, "
when the program stops" does not mean the program will actually stop. A useful analogy is the distinction between partial correctness and total correctness.
4. John 14:2
KJV: In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Latin: in domo Patris mei mansiones multae sunt si quo minus dixissem vobis quia vado parare vobis locum
Wessex: On mines fader huse synde manega earding-stowe. Ne saegde ic eow. hit ys litles wane þaet ic fare. & wille eow eardung-stowe gerewian.
5. Luke 2:7
KJV: And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn.
Wessex: & hyo þa akende hire frum-kennedan sunu. & hine mid cyld-claþen be-wand. & hine on binne alegde. for þan þe hyo naefden rum on cumene huse.
6. 1 Thessalonians 4:17
KJV: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

9. Verse 0
While we walk the pilgrim pathway
clouds will overspread the sky,
but when traveling days are over,
not a shadow, not a sigh.
When we all get to heaven,
what a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus
we'll sing and shout the victory.
10. Pilgrim
The English word
"pilgrim" and comes from the Middle English word
"pilegrim" ≈ "pilgrim" which comes, through French, from the Latin word
"peregrinus" ≈ "foreigner" from
"peregre" ≈ "abroad" as in "
beyond the surrounding land".
In many cases, the
KJV (King James Version) appears to be influenced by the Latin word for "
stranger" or "
foreigner". A "
pilgrimage" is, thus, a journey made to a place where one would be a "
stranger" or "
foreigner".
1 Peter 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul; [kjv]
… advenas et peregrinos … [v]
11. Verse 0
Let us then be true and faithful,
trusting, serving every day;
just one glimpse of Him in glory
will the toils of life repay.
When we all get to heaven,
what a day of rejoicing that will be!
When we all see Jesus
we'll sing and shout the victory.
The Bible does not say one will be without hurt or pain.
The reward is not in this life, but in the life eternal.
12. John 15:19
KJV: If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.
Be wary of being told that you should get the world to "
love" you. According to Jesus, that is not going to happen.
