The
KJV (King James Version) translation of this verse brings to mind a negative connotation of "
grumbling" and "
disagreements". The Greek words appear to say something else. Same for "
blameless" and "
harmless". The "
crooked" and "
perverse" refers to
LXX (Septuagint).
In keeping with Paul's double- meanings in this letter, the Greek for "
shine" is "
appear".
