The idea of one God deception
1. The idea of one God deception
This page is being developed.
2. Proverbs 1:7 Fear of the Lord
Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. [kjv]
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; and there is good understanding to all that practise it: and piety towards God is the beginning of discernment; but the ungodly will set at nothing wisdom and instruction. [bs3]
3. The idea of one God deception
Some pastors (and others) will use the deception that Abraham or Moses came up with the idea of one God. This deceptions is used to tacitly (by omitting certain things) raise doubt about the truth and authenticity of the Bible.
Sometimes the deception will be worded in a way that provides plausible deniability so that, if they are questioned about the deception they can claim the excuse that they just left that part out.
This deception is one way in which faith in the Bible can be shaken. Here some of the "rest of the story" is provided that is omitted when the deception is used.
This deception reminds one of the serpent Satan's line to Eve of "Did God really say?".
4. Genesis 3:1 The serpent in the garden
Was the serpent in the garden "
wise" in the modern English sense?
Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? [kjv]
Was the serpent "
opportunistic"?
A person is defined to be "
opportunistic" if he or she is ready to put internalized theory (or attitude) into externalized practice as actions (or evidenced behavior).
5. Sermons
In times past, pastors would greet everyone in the congregation after a sermon, shaking hands, etc. I remember hearing some people questioning the pastor on what was said. In those times, pastors had to be careful about what they said.
Today, congregations in many churches are smaller as pastors try to "fill the pews". Despite fewer people, many pastors find excuses to avoid accountability. Some just disappear after the sermon. Some have "more important" things to do than be accountable the their flock.
6. The deception starts - base case
The deception starts with the claim (as a historical fact) that Abraham (in the Ur of Chaldea), or Moses (with the Egyptian god ideas) came up with the novel idea that there is one god who is then called the God.
The claim, without evidence, is that, at that time, different people had different ideas of the gods. Some even claim that reading and writing did not yet exist, despite the huge amount of archaeological evidence to the contrary.
The deception uses the
selective evidence fallacy of providing an incomplete picture of the situation.
7. Different groups out - step case
Today, there are many groups descending from the original groups all over the world.
8. Group houses
Each group has their
house, so to speak, of ideas on religion, etc. These
houses are built on
sand or the "
human infrastructure" of man's rules, man's opinions, etc.
These groups (people in these groups) get upset with the idea that Jesus is the
one and only way to the Father.
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [kjv]
Do you see the
selective evidence being used in the reasoning?
9. John 14:6 Way truth and life
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [kjv]
… via … veritas … vita … [v]
Jesus is the
"way",
"truth" and
"life".
In Latin, these three words start with "
v":
"via",
"veritas" and
"vita". The Greek and Hebrew words for
"truth" have to do with "
reality" and
not "
logic" or "
opinion". Thus, Jesus is the
"way" (opinion as in glory), the
"truth" (reality as in science) and the
"life" (logic as in information).
10. John 14:6
KJV: Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
11. Backtrack into history
The deception omits the history
before Abraham and/or Moses.
The observable geologic record supports the flood.
Historical stories passed down support the flood.
DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) evidence supports a genetic bottleneck as happened after the flood.
If one backtracks in history, one arrives at the flood of Noah and his descendent's that repopulated the earth. Those descendent's did not take long to forget God (again).
Noah passed the historical record of the one true God down through selected descendent's such as Abraham and Moses (who wrote down that history). God then called some of those descendent's in special ways.
12. Backtrack to the beginning
The coded information argument (proof) requires a
creator God.
1. Coded information exists in large quantities such as DNA (billions of bits of coded information).
2. Coded information cannot arise by change (with probability quickly approaching zero).
The coded information argument (outside of time and space) is
not an argument of science (inside time and space).
If you do
not believe in a creator God, you believe that everything happens by chance.
Movie quote from the
Matrix:
Choice is an illusion, created between those with power, and those without. (reminds one of the "
birds").
13. Matrix: Choice is an illusion
Movie quote from the
Matrix:
Choice is an illusion, created between those with power, and those without. This makes one think of the "
birds" as used by Jesus.
14. Genesis 1: A gaping gap between chasm and chaos
Genesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [kjv]
1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [kjv]
Have you ever heard a pastor say or pray "
to the god who brought order to chaos"? Whose god are they talking about? The gods bringing order to "
chaos" is part of
Greek mythology. Such a god is in the universe instead of outside of time and space.
The description in Genesis of the God of the Bible is very different. That God had to create matter, time and space and then, from the starting point created, organize what was created.
And this is different than the technical term "
chaos theory" as systems with a sensitive dependency on initial conditions. And this is not the same as "
chaos" as a general term for disorder as in "
clutter" in our lives.
15. Genesis 5: A hidden plan of inherited salvation
Luke covers the genealogy of Adam to Noah (in reverse order, also in Genesis 5).
(Luke 3:36) ... which was the son of
Noe (Νώε) which was the son of
Lamech (Λαμεχ), (3:37) which was the son of
Methuselah (Μαθουσαλα) which was the son of
Enoch (Ενωχ) which was the son of
Jared (Ιαρεδ) which was the son of
Maleleel (Μαλελεηλ) which was the son of
Cainan (Καιναν) (3:38) which was the son of
Enos (Ενός) which was the son of
Seth (Σηθ) which was the son of
Adam (Αδάμ) which was the son of God.
16. Hebrew
The meaning of the names from Adam to Noah in the
original Hebrew appear to make a statement about the Gospel plan of salvation. Here are those generations with their meaning.
Adam (אדמה) = man
Seth (שח) = (Gen 4:25) appointed
Enos (אנוש) = mortal/frail/miserable/incurable
Cainan (קינן) = acquisition (i.e., sin) or Kenan = sorrow/dirge
Mahalaleel (מהללאל) = blessed/praised God
Jared (ירד) = shall come down (verb form)
Enoch (הנוך) = teacher/teaching/commencement (Jude 1:14)
Methuselah (מהושלה) = his death shall bring (the flood)
Lamech (למך) = lament/lamentation/despairing
Noah (נוה) = (Gen 5:29) comfort/comforter (Holy Spirit)
17. Put it together
So, the generations from Adam to Noah in their original meanings can be read as follows:
Man is appointed an acquisition (curse, sin) or mortal sorrow, but the blessed God shall come down teaching that his death shall bring the despaired for comforter.
This states the plan of salvation/redemption of the Creator, thousands of years before it was fulfilled.
Moses wrote down Genesis. Did Moses write of Jesus?
John 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me. [kjv]
Jesus recounts this on the Road to Emaeus after Resurrection.
Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself. [kjv]
18. Matthew 19:4 Male and female
Matthew 19:4 And he answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, [kjv]
|
Some in the culture have trouble determining the difference between "male" and "female".
|
In the beginning, the gene pool was not contaminated. Mutations after that could, in certain cases, muddy the waters. Note that in order to answer a question, Jesus (and others) must "
judge" since that Greek word is the root word of the word for "
answer".
19. Matthew 19:5 Glued together
Matthew 19:5 And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? [kjv]
The ancient Greek word
"κόλλα" ≈ "glue, flower paste". The
KJV (King James Version) translates as
"cleave" the Greek word that means
"joined" as in
"glued". Some use the English word
"cling" for "
cleave". Barnabas makes the observation that one should not be
"glued" to "
sinners". Some translators, having the effect of providing reasons not to accept Barnabas, translate the word
"glued" as "
associate".
Do not be "glued" to "sinners" (Barnabas)
Do not "associate" with "sinners" (some translators)
The English word
"cleave" comes from the Middle English word
"cleven" ≈ "cleave, split" but
could mean
"adhere",
"cling",
"stick fast", etc.
20. The idea of one God deception
The
selective evidence deception is to
frame the problem in a way that omits important details.
[two adultery verses and two divorce verses skipping the two cutoff verses (eyes and hands) in the middle]
John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. [kjv]
If you do
not believe in God, you believe that everything happens by chance.

Matrix:

birds").
