If Jesus is the
"head", then what is the
"tail"?
Jesus often uses code words where nouns are replaced with other nouns - so that the people will
not understand. In the security field, this is the definition of a
secret code. An interesting play on words is the use of a certain form of the word
"heaven" - the
genitive singular form.
- "ουρανου" ≈ "heaven, sky".
- "ουρά" ≈ "tail" and "νου" ≈ "of the mind" (genitive)

- Saying: Your mind is in the gutter. One might say the gutter of your mind.

52. Matthew 13:4,19 Birds and the evil one
At the request of the disciples, Jesus provides the code-word meaning of the "
birds" or "
fowls" as those of the "
wicked one". This happens when one does "
not understand" as in "
deception" (including self-deception).

catcheth away" is related to the word for "
rapture". The
KJV (King James Version) translates as "
evil" or "
wicked" the Greek word that means "
oppression" or "
oppressor".

wolves".
Saying:
You'll be birdseed. The "
seed" that was "
snatched away" in parable 1 appears to have been deposited (by the
"birds") in parable 2 as "
weeds" and then grows into a "
tree" in parable 3 so that those "
birds" have a place to make their "
nests".
54. Kingdom of the birds
Matthew 6:26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? [kjv]

The step omitted by Jesus is the "
grow" part. The "
birds" work the growing harvest by "
pecking" and taking part of the harvest (first parable), and, in turn, sowing "
weeds" (second parable). You are "
rather different" (at least you should be). The
KJV, influenced by the Latin, says "
much better".
The "
birds" are used by Jesus as a symbol of "
false teachers" who "
prey", rather than "
pray", on others. The "
wolf" or "
wolf-dog", as contrasted to a "
sheep-dog", and the "
snake" or "
viper" appear to be used in the same manner.

If birds represent "
evil" or "
oppression" (parable 1), are there any birds in heaven?

scribes" today would be the academics and theologians.
A play on words is usually of a certain word with a certain meaning. To be a play on words requires some context into which that play on words word fit. That context does not appear to be in this verse nor in some others, for the same reason.

not (usually) nest in small bushes. Are the
"birds" good? What is a
"mustard seed"? What does a
"tree" represent? The word for
"air" or
"sky" or
"heaven" can be a play on words for "
tail" of the "
mind".

"mustard plant", with play-on-word meanings with Rome, appears in only
two stories (
five verses) in the
GNT and connects with the idea of "
moving this mountain".

This use of
"heaven" or
"air" is Matthew 16:1 is connecting commentary by Matthew and not spoken by Jesus. Jesus does use these word in what he says in Matthew 16:3.
This verse has many other play on words. The play on words of
"air" or
"heaven" or
"sky" as the
"mind" "of the tail" does not fit the word used in Matthew 16:2 and the first one in 16:3 but only in 16:1 (Matthew) and the second one in 16:3 (Jesus).

one of the four "
heaven" or "
sky" words, the last one by Jesus, fits the play on words with "
tail" "
of the mind".

shaken"? Might these be related to the
"tail" "of the mind" for the
first use of
"heaven" in this verse? Some of this appears to be referenced or described in Revelation.
The description by Jesus fits what is called an "
eclipse". The preceding verse describes "
lightning". The "
shaken" describes ocean waves.

"μεγας" ≈ "great" and is the source of the English prefix
"mega". This word is not used here.

- The KJV translates "on the right hand" for what the Greek has as "out of the right" where "hand" is inferred in the KJV.
- The KJV translates "in the clouds" for what the Greek has as "on the clouds".
Which "
clouds" might these be?
Might this coming be through the "
narrow gate" or the "
gates of hell"?
74. Matthew 26:64

και ιδου σεισμος εγενετο μεγας αγγελος γαρ κυριου καταβας εξ ουρανου και προσελθων απεκυλισεν τον λιθον και εκαθητο επανω αυτου [gnt]

- The KJV translates "from heaven" for what the Greek has as "out of heaven".
A "
stone" is a big piece of "
sand". The "
temple" was built with many big grains of "
sand". Apparently, there was only
one "
stone" covering the "
tomb". And that "
stone" was temporary and then removed.
