Tetractys 8 Line 4 Bowling pins

The story of the creation week in Genesis appears to fit the TenWordPin model in some interesting ways. Let us look at each day of the creation week in Genesis 1.

For ten (10) elements, there are 10! (ten factorial) or 3,628,800 ways or permutations of arranging those elements.

Some of these ways make more sense than other ways in terms of a model.

13. Bowling pin layout
Bowling pins Tetractys 2 Tetractys 8 TPS 10

The tetractys pattern is the same as the bowling pin layout, except that the base is at the back and the one pin is in the front.

The TenWordPin model does not appear to need many of the interior transitions (vertical) from node to node. The sequential ordering is needed.

For 10 (ten) nodes or elements, there are 10! (ten factorial) or 3,628,800 ways or permutations of arranging those elements. There are 45 possible edges so there are 245 or about 35,000,000,000,000 ways (subsets of edges) to include or exclude each edge in the model. Some models work better than other models.

The word "God" is taken to be the creator God of the universe and everything in it, as in Genesis 1:1.

Both viewsBoth the Bible and current scientific thought (since the end of the 19th century) agree that there is a beginning to time and an end to time as we know it. The two viewpoints disagree on the time scale.
Modern secular view: Due to the 2nd law of thermodynamics, about 1900, it was recognized that there must be a beginning of time and an end of time.

Verse routeבראשיתבראאלהיםהשמיםהארץ [he]
Verse routeεν αρχη εποιησεν ο θεος τον ουρανον και την γην [lxx]

Model of creation
The "declarative" model of creation is before Adam and Eve were created. The exact way it happened does not matter.

It does not make sense to try to map time and space of reality as is known now to the that period.

The "historical" model of humanity started with Adam and continues to the present day. The exact dates do not matter.

This is known more precisely since the start of written records and less precisely before then.

To show that the Bible is a true message from the creator, (fault-tolerant and error correcting) authentication codes are needed.

*H430 אֱלוֹהִים (el-o-heem') : plural of H433; gods in the ordinary sense; but specifically used (in the plural thus, especially with the article) of the supreme God; occasionally applied by way of deference to magistrates; and sometimes as a superlative:--angels, X exceeding, God (gods)(-dess, -ly), X (very) great, judges, X mighty.

*H1254 בָּרָא (baw-raw') : a primitive root; (absolutely) to create; (qualified) to cut down (a wood), select, feed (as formative processes):-- choose, create (creator), cut down, dispatch, do, make (fat).
The Hebrew word used here is in the plural.

22. Genesis 1:1 God created
TC 1

Verse routeGenesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [kjv]

*H8064 שָׁמַיִם שָׁמֶה (shaw-mah'-yim) : dual of an unused singular shameh {shaw-meh'}; from an unused root meaning to be lofty; the sky (as aloft; the dual perhaps alluding to the visible arch in which the clouds move, as well as to the higher ether where the celestial bodies revolve):--air, X astrologer, heaven(-s).
*G3772 *275 οὐρανός (oo-ran-os') : perhaps from the same as G3735 (through the idea of elevation); the sky; by extension, heaven (as the abode of God); by implication, happiness, power, eternity; specially, the Gospel (Christianity):--air, heaven(-ly), sky.

The ancient Greek word "ουρανός""sky, heaven". The English word for the planet "Uranus", discovered by William Hershel in 1781, is from the ancient Greek word "Οὐρανός""Uranus" who was a god in Greek mythology.

24. Genesis 1:1 Heavens
TC 2

Verse routeGenesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [kjv]

The "heaven" can be associated with "keep name holy" of the Ten Commandments and the "throne" in Revelation when Jesus is in "heaven" to assume the "king" role.

*G1093 *251 γῆ (ghay) : contracted from a primary word; soil; by extension a region, or the solid part or the whole of the terrene globe (including the occupants in each application):--country, earth(-ly), ground, land, world.

The ancient Greek word "γη""earth" and from which come the English words "geometry", "geology", etc.

26. Genesis 1:1 Earth
TC 3

Verse routeGenesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [kjv]

The "earth" can be associated with the "bowl" and "earth" judgments in Revelation and the "no idols" in the Ten Commandments.

27. Genesis 1:2 Waters
Verse routeGenesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [kjv]
Verse routeη δε γη ην αορατος και ακατασκευαστος και σκοτος επανω της αβυσσου και πνευμα θεου επεφερετο επανω του υδατος [lxx]

The "waters", here and in later verses make a lot more sense if one understands the state of nature called "plasma" and the physical properties of "plasma".

The English word "plasma" comes from the (late) Latin word "plasma""mold" which comes from the ancient Greek word "πλάσμα" (PLA-sma) ≈ "something formed, figure".

*G4151 *379 πνεῦμα (pnyoo'-mah) : from G4154; a current of air, i.e. breath (blast) or a breeze; by analogy or figuratively, a spirit, i.e. (human) the rational soul, (by implication) vital principle, mental disposition, etc., or (superhuman) an angel, demon, or (divine) God, Christ's spirit, the Holy Spirit:--ghost, life, spirit(-ual, -ually), mind. Compare G5590.

The ancient Greek word "πνεῦμα""air, wind, breath, life, spirit, soul" where the exact meaning depends on context. The Latin word "spiritus""spirit".

29. Genesis 1:6-8 A gaping gap between chasm and chaos
Verse routeGenesis 1:1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. [kjv]
Verse route1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [kjv]

Puzzle 2 Arrow 5 Puzzle

Have you ever heard a pastor say or pray "to the god who brought order to chaos"? Whose god are they talking about? The gods bringing order to "chaos" is part of Greek mythology. Such a god is in the universe instead of outside of time and space.

The description in Genesis of the God of the Bible is very different. That God had to create matter, time and space and then, from the starting point created, organize what was created.

And this is different than the technical term "chaos theory" as systems with a sensitive dependency on initial conditions. And this is not the same as "chaos" as a general term for disorder as in "clutter" in our lives.

TC 4

Verse routeGenesis 1:2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. [kjv]

The "spirit moved" can be associated with "keep Sabbath holy" and the "Holy Spirit", living "bread", hidden "manna", "oil" and "mercy" of the other parts of the TenWordPin model.

32. Genesis 1:3-4 Light and darkness
Verse routeGenesis 1:3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. [kjv]

The Hebrew word "טוב" (to-wb) ≈ "it was good".
טוב - it was good
The LXX (Septuagint) has "between" rather than "from".
In the reverse sense, the head God (as Jesus) will eventually again divide the light (hairs, e.g., sheep) from the dark (hairs, e.g., goats).

Verse route1:5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not. [kjv]
Verse routeκαι το φως εν τη σκοτια φαινει και η σκοτια αυτο ου κατελαβεν [gnt]

How can "darkness" not "comprehend"? Perhaps "darkness" is an intelligent entity.

The ancient Greek word "φως""light" and is the source of the English word "photon" and "photo" as short for "photograph". The Latin word "lux""light".

The ancient Greek word "καταλαμβάνω""seize, grasp, hold". In context, the word can mean "grasp with the mind" or "comprehend". To "comprehend" or "grasp with the mind" requires "darkness" to be an "intelligent entity".

Declaration of IndependenceWhen you "declare" something, like the "Declaration of Independence", you state that something is what you want it to be.
A declarative model of a system is a model that describes the what of a system but not the how or why of a system. This distinction made is made in computer science and software engineering (and other areas).

Day 2 is Monday (evening before and that day). Note that the LXX has God saying that this day is "good". The HOT (Hebrew Old Testament) does not say this. This may be a part of the HOT that was fixed up at some later date. In this case, to get seven "good" days rather than "eight", one needs to be omitted.

Future topic Details are left as a future topic.

47. However
There is no record of God seeing anything "good" on the second day - Monday, in the Hebrew. God had a "blah" Monday in that he spoke things into existence but did not say it was "good".

However, in the LXX, God did see that it was "good". What is going on here? One motivation might be to have God say it was "good" exactly seven times - a special number in Hebrew history. The LXX has God saying it was "good" eight times.

50. Genesis 1:8 Day 2
TC 6

Verse routeGenesis 1:8 And God called the firmament Heaven. And the evening and the morning were the second day. [kjv]

Day 2 is Monday (evening before and that day). The "firmament" and "heaven" can be associated with the "no false witness" of the Ten Commandments. Once there are two choices or perceptions, there is the possibility of "false witness".

The process of "false witness", in a deceptive sense, requires some form of intelligence which does not appear to exist as of yet, except perhaps in the "angels" both good and bad.

51. Node ambiguity
For some nodes it is not clear as to the connection. If most of the other nodes fit well, the other nodes are then associated with what is left.

One can always improve the model or propose another model.

Sometimes the relevant connections, like a puzzle piece, are not obvious until a later time.

Chicken and Egg Tree with twigs - fruit
In general, the question, "Which came first, the chicken or the egg" refers to a situation where there are two objects that each depend on the other and the problem is to determine which came first.
Somehow, the information for the egg needs to be within the chicken. This is a self-referential system.

In Genesis 1:11-12 we have an example of this with fruit, "whose seed is in itself". Modern self-replicating programs provide an example of this idea.

This is a statement of the vegetarianism before the flood.

As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the second coming.

101. Days of Noah
When asked about the end times, Jesus says the following in the Olivet Discourse in Matthew 24.

Verse routeMatthew 24:37 But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [kjv]
Verse route24:38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, [kjv]
Verse route24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. [kjv]

102. Genesis 1:31
Verse routeGenesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. [kjv]

Day 6 is Friday (evening before and that day). On the sixth day, Friday, God saw that it was good two times, including "very good" one of those times. For some reason, Friday, the day before the Sabbath, is a day of double blessing but not a traditional day for weddings.

Perhaps this is because one would need to end the festivities by sundown when the sabbath started. For that reason, it might have been better to celebrate on a Tuesday (avoiding any high sabbath, of course).

103. Genesis 1:31 Day 6
TC 11

Verse routeGenesis 1:31 And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day. [kjv]

The creation of "animals" and "humans" (i.e., Adam and Eve) can be associated with the "honor father/mother" of the Ten Commandments.

Until this time, there was no intelligence that could form the basis of abstract thought and thus, of "tradition" in the way that one could actually "honor father/mother".

Verse routeGenesis 2:1 Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. [kjv]
Verse routeκαι συνετελεσθησαν ο ουρανος και η γη και πας ο κοσμος αυτων [lxx]

The "host" is, in Greek, what became the English word "cosmos" and at the time the LXX was translated meant "adornments" where the stars were adornments in the heavens, as described by Pythagoras of Pythagorean triangle fame (or infamous if you did not like geometry or trigonometry).

Day 7 is Saturday (evening before and that day). According to the Hebrew, God completed his work on the seventh day, Saturday. Did God do any work on the seventh day? That is the day God rested.

The "Sabbath" as a "day of rest" can be associated with the "Keep Sabbath holy" of the Ten Commandments.

The LXX says that God ended his "work" on the "sixth" day.

110. Matthew 11:28-29
Verse routeMatthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [kjv]

Verse routeαρατε τον ζυγον μου εφ υμας και μαθετε απ εμου οτι πραυς ειμι και ταπεινος τη καρδια και ευρησετε αναπαυσιν ταις ψυχαις υμων [gnt]

The ancient Greek word "παύω""stop, cease" and, in context, "rest" or "pause". The ancient Greek word "ἀναπαύω""stop, cease" and, in context, at can mean "rest".

To what is Jesus giving one a "stop" or "ceasing"? Might it be from the "yoke" of "compulsion" required by the religious institutions?

Verse routeαρατε τον ζυγον μου εφ υμας και μαθετε απ εμου οτι πραυς ειμι και ταπεινος τη καρδια και ευρησετε αναπαυσιν ταις ψυχαις υμων [gnt]

The Hebrew word "וישבת" (way-yis-bot) ≈ "and he rested" is the source of the word "Sabbath" and "seven" as in the "seventh" day of creation in Genesis.

Might what Jesus is saying be related to the "Holy Spirit", "manna", "bread of life", "oil" and "mercy", etc.?

118. Septuagint
In the LXX, however, God finished his work on the sixth day. Might this have been changed from "seventh" to avoid some issue? It appears that the ending of work on the seventh day might have been a Jewish idiom. That idiom would not translate into Greek very well. Perhaps this is why the LXX differs.

119. Syriac Peshitah
The OCS (Old Church Slavonic) uses "sixth" day. The modern Russian uses "seventh" day.

It appears that the Syriac Peshitah Bible uses "sixth".

120. Seven day week
On the seventh day, God rested from his work.

Thus, there are seven days in the week.

121. Seven days without God makes one weak

Verse routeהשביעיוישבתהשביעי … [he]
Verse route2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made. [kjv]

Caution Heptagon 7
The prime number "seven" is related among many PIE languages and is the basis of the seven day week going back to Genesis.
The English word "week" is related to many other words involving a "turning" as in one weekly cycle turning into another cycle.

122. Adding the numbers
For the seven days, God says that it is "good" seven times in the HOT and eight times in the LXX.

# Day HOT LXX creation
1 Sunday 1 1
2 Monday 0 1
3 Tuesday 2 2 plants
4 Wednesday 1 1
5 Thursday 1 1 birds, sea creatures
6 Friday 2 2 animals, humans
7 Saturday 0 0
# Good total 7 8

DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid) as coded information is created in days 3, 4 and 6.

123. Coded information of life
DNA two chains
Interestingly, the days that God says it is "good" twice in the LXX are days of information mechanism creation. The sea and air creatures (whales, fowl) on day five would involve DNA, but no double blessing on that day.

124. Genesis 5:1-29 Hidden plan of salvation in the generations from Adam to Noah
4 generations Tree with twigs - fruit Undirected graph Directed graph

In computer science terms, the family tree is not a (pure) tree structure. A tree is a connected graph with no cycles.

The family tree structure, in reality, is what is called a DAG (Directed Acyclic Graph) since the corresponding unconnected graph has cycles. Why?

Name the first ten generations starting at Adam and ending at Noah.

The ten generations listed in Genesis, using the meaning of the Hebrew words, appears to relate to the salvation message.
